The Cat’s Pajamas Old School Jazz Band is comprised of 6 fun loving musicians from Lancaster County that enjoy performing vintage music in the old New Orleans and Chicago styles. Often described as “toe-tapping music” the Cat’s playlist is upbeat, and the interplay between musicians is light-hearted.
The band formed many years ago out of a desire to play this great vintage music with friends and respected msuicnaqs who were serious about the music, and serious about audiences having a good time listening.
Tunes you can expect to hear at a performance include old time classics like Bill Bailey, Basin Street Blues, Down By The Riverside and When The Saints Go Marching In. The band also enjoys recasting more modern pop songs into the older styles love. Audiences may also hear tunes like Careless Whisper (Wham) It Should Have Been Me (Ray Charles) and Sweet Child Of Mine (Gun’s & Roses).
