The Lancaster County Food Hub provides groceries for Lancaster families in need. A family can come to the Food Hub once a month or 12 times a year. Each time they come they receive a bag of dry items, meat, milk and an assortment of fresh items. Several Highland members volunteer on a weekly basis at the Food Hub. They pick up donated foods from local grocery store partners and greet and aid clients with their food selections. The Lancaster County Food Hub is located at 812 N. Queen Street. They are motivated by faith providing for those in need.
Once again Highland members are invited to participate in the Reverse Advent Calendar. The calendar begins this coming Tuesday, December 1. After you have collected all 24 items you may bring them to the church office, the Food Cupboard outside Fellowship Hall or directly to the Lancaster Food Hub. OR you can bring a few items at a time to the church.
Look for the collection box in the office area. The church office is open from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
