Concert Program
Join us on Wednesday, June 9 at 7 pm for the end-of-season concert by the Highland Chancel Choir.
“Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs”
The annual highland spring concert featuring our choir is an event you don’t want to miss in any year. But this year, coming out of the overwhelming silence of the pandemic, the sound of the choir will be giving voice to your own worship as you join with them in praise. One of the signature anthems will be Randall Thompson’s “Alleluia” —- sure to inspire your own Alleluia. There will be anthems based on familiar hymns; All creatures of our God and King, O for a Thousand tongues to sing, and the Church’s one Foundation. Scripture will come to life in the familiar setting of Psalm 8; “The Majesty and Glory of your Name”
The wonderful accompaniment of Jonathan Lefever on organ and piano as well as a brass quintet will support both the congregation and the choir’s efforts.
Three ways to enjoy the concert:
- Live, in person at the church – following CDC/church guidelines
- Livestream from this page
- Recording available after live performance
End-of-season concerts by the Highland Chancel Choir and orchestra have been major cultural events. Augmented with guest singers accompanied by the best area instrumental players and soloists, audiences have been thrilled by acclaimed performances of some of the most popular works in the choral literature.
