Evangelism
Highland's Evangelism programs use words and deeds to share the transforming love of Jesus Christ. Some of these programs include:
- Evangelism Task Force - This group works to reach out to the
surrounding community to invite our neighbors to visit Highland and experience
worship with us. Mailed invitations to Christmas and Easter services, a Highland
newsletter designed to invite our neighbors, radio spots encouraging those
in the community to "stop in and find out," neighborhood gatherings with
friends, coworkers and family are invited to gather with a few Highland members
and a pastor, are all a part of this exciting are of ministry.
- First Visit Hospitality Team - Two Highland members bring a gift of a
Highland mug filled with goodies and Highland Presbyterian Church information to
the doorstep of those who make a first visit to our worship services. This
"doorstep visit" is quick and welcoming and carries a simple message: "We hope
you'll worship with us again soon."
The Evangelism Committee continues to look for opportunities for members of
Highland to share the good news of Jesus Christ with our congregation, community
