Highland’s Memorial Garden was created as a peaceful place, for the cremated remains of Highland Presbyterian Church members and where their families can go for meditation and prayer.
The Memorial Garden was created in March 1985 out of a long-felt concern for a final resting place for its members. Over the years, cremation has gained increased favor as a form of Christian burial.
The Garden offers as attractive, dignified and affordable resting place for those people who choose to be cremated.
The Memorial Garden is located in an area adjacent to the south side of the Narthex and Sanctuary. It is defined by land contours and natural plantings which add to the beauty of Highland’s hilltop landscape.
The Memorial Garden Committee is responsible for maintenance, care, identification of improvements and plant material. You are welcome to visit the Memorial Garden to honor the memory of a loved one or simply to enjoy its peace and beauty.
